SUMMARY:Free online technical workshops for the visually impaired
DESCRIPTION:Announcing second round of free online technical workshops for visually impaired National Association for the Blind (NAB) Delhi had launched a series of online workshops for the visually impaired after the lockdown was announced in the country. An overwhelming response was received and they are due to successfully complete the first round soon. \n \nConsidering the demand from the community\, they will be conducting workshops on new topics from 13 April onwards. Sessions will be held in the afternoon or evening using the Zoom platform. The workshops will be facilitated by selected trainers having vast experience of conducting trainings for the visually impaired. Each workshop will consist of one or more online sessions of 90 minutes to 2 hour duration where the participants will interact directly with the trainers. The information about joining the online sessions will be sent by email only. After registering you will receive the instructions to join the sessions by 16 April 2020 You just need a computer or smart phone with internet connection to join the online workshop. \nRegistration is restricted to one workshop per person at this time. \nNote: These workshops are only for persons with visual impairments above 18 years of age. Register quickly! It is free of cost\, certificates will be provided by email. Registration link is provided at the end of the message. SUMMARY:Short Term Training Programme on Basic Skills in Indian Sign Language
DESCRIPTION:ISLRTC is to conduct the 4th Short Term Training Programme on Basic Skills in Indian Sign Language for \n\nGovt Departments (Centre/State)\,\nPSUs\,\nNon-Government Organizations\,\nSchools\,\nTeachers\,\nSpecial Educators\,\nProfessionals from fields of medical\,\nlegal\,\ntechnical and academic\, and\ninterested individuals.\n\n\nTraining Scheduled\nDate :  9th October  to 25th October 2019.\nTotal hours : 90 hours\nThe duration of the programme is 15 working days (Monday-Saturday) with 6 training hours each day. \nCourse Fees\nThe fee for the said training programme is Rs 12\,500/- per participant (which includes 2 times tea/refreshments\, lunch\, & training kit with 2nd Edition of ISL dictionary of 6000 words). To get confirmation of participation\, it is advisable to pay the prescribed fees of Rs. 12\,500/- ISLRTC by NEFT in advance. The fees can also be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre’ payable at New Delhi. The DD for fees will need to be submitted by the participants on the first day of the training\, failing which they will not be allowed to attend the training programme. \nNomination/Registration\nNominations are invited from Govt Departments (Centre/State)\, PSUs\, Non-Government Organizations\, Schools\, Teachers\, Special Educators\, Professionals from fields of medical\, legal\, technical and academic\, and interested individuals for this training programme in the enclosed nomination form.  The form must be duly signed by the Sponsoring Authority and sent by email to programme Nodal Officer\, Dr. Sharita Sharma at s.sharita@islrtc.nic.in latest by 7 October\, 2019. \nNames of nominated candidates will be published on the website of ISLRTC by 7th October 2019. The sponsoring authority and the candidates will be intimated by e-mail on the mail id provided by them on the nomination form. All sponsoring authorities are requested to ensure that only those candidates nominated for the Programme are relieved to attend it. The detailed nomination/registration form can be downloaded from the link below: \nNomination/Registration Form \nGeneral Information\nAccommodation and travel arrangements will need to be borne by the sponsoring organization/ individuals/ concerned department. No TA/DA will be paid by ISLRTC to the participants of the said training programme. The maximum batch size is 20. If minimum nominations of 15 are not received\, the training programme will be rescheduled. \nAttendance\nSince this is a short-term and practical skills based course\, 100% attendance (90 hours) is compulsory to be eligible for certificate of completion. Only such personnel should be nominated who can attend the programme on whole time basis. Refund & Deferral \nRequest for refund of registration fees should be received in writing in advance 1 week before commencement of the programme. No request for refund will be considered after commencement of the course. If a candidate is unable to attend the course after paying fees\, the fees paid may be reserved and the candidate may be given a chance to take the next training programme.
