| 1 | Gist of the Scheme | Early Intervention Centres for Mentally Retarded Children have been established in all the districts to benefit 50 Children in each District. These Centres have been established through NGOs. The main objective of these centres is to identify Children with Mental Retardation and children with allied Disabilities at birth and to provide Early Intervention services including early detection and identification (0-6years), with support and training to parents and families to facilitate Welfare of the Mentally Retarded Children. |
