OUR ACHIEVEMENTS :-
Though the trust started on a humble scale, it accomplishments to date have been summarized below :
- Conducted every month free Eye Camps wherein individuals with eye disabilities were operated and provided spectacles.
- 76 Eye Donations we made.
- 6,000 underprivileged families were provided with free food grains and clothes worth Rs. 250/- every month for a period of three years.
- For the last eight years 100 families are being provided with ration every month.
- Rose to the occasion and helped individuals who underwent appealing loses die to the earthquake at Gujarat. The trust provided those individuals with food, utensils, clothes and medicines.
- Helped the distressed individuals at Andhra who were attacked by a severe cyclone.
- Educational aid is given to students in need, by way of payment school fees, books and uniforms.
- Three educational camps with an audience of 800 students were conducted, where sessions on Universal Peace, Principles of life and Non-Violence were conducted.
- A meditation camp for 400 people was conducted.
- The trust distributes warm clothes to the underprivileged (sleeping on the road-side) during water.
- Free Buttermilk counters are raised during the summer season.
- Conducted a leg camp in the year 2001, where in 5.235 people were treated and provided with free tri-cycles, walking sticks, wheel-chairs, sewing etc.
- In the year 2002, another artificial camp was organized in the month of September, where in 7,200 patients were treated free of cost and provided artificial limb, crutches, tri-cycles, walking sticks, wheelchair, sewing machines etc.
In the year 2004, conducted a artificial limb catering 21 districts of Tamil Nadu, treating 7,500 Patients.
ON GOING PROJECTS :-
We have currently pursuing the following under the roof of “Adinath Jain Seva Kendra”, A 6000sq. feet building at choolai, Chennai – 112. Owned by trust provides the following services to the people in need free of cost.
- We have set up a permanent Artificial Limb Centre wherein the under privileged physically challenged people are treated and provided artificial limbs, crutches, tricycles, walking sticks, calipers and wheel chairs.
- A eye clinic functions were eye donation, eye operations, eye check ups & distribution of spectacles is done.
- A great health clinic is set which benefits 50 people everyday.
- A tailoring institute is set to teach the under privileged stitching and embroidery and to get them suitable employment.
- Providing nutritious food for Rs. 3/- to above 200 people per day.
- Acupuncture clinic.
