Concession in Indian RailwaysAs per the Order of Ministry of Railway, Government of India, concessions are available for Persons with Disabilities.

Issuing Authority: The concession certificate can be issued by Medical Practitioner/Government Doctor/Heads of the Institutions for the Blind recognized by Ministry of Welfare/Govt. of India or Social Welfare Department of the concerned State Government. The copy of original certificate may be produced while collecting the ticket.
CONCESSION IS ADMISSIBLE TO THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES OF PERSONS

Orthopaedic or paraplegic persons and their escorts can now avail themselves of a 25 per cent concession while travelling on Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains as well from June 1.

Following up the budget announcement, the Railway Board on Thursday issued a notification extending the concession in third-AC and chair-car fares for these two categories of differently abled persons and one assisting escort.

While retaining the other terms and conditions for their travel, the Railways maintained that the facility would be available on tickets purchased on and after June 1.

There would be no refund of or difference in fares on tickets already purchased for travel on and after June 1
