Smile Foundation’s I am Kalam has so far won 12 national and international awards. The film has travelled to over 25 film festivals across the globe. The film has been chosen by the audience over cult films like 3 Idiots, Udaan and Dhobi Ghaat at several film festivals. With its world cinema style it has received acclaim and adulation from critics and audience alike across the globe.
But over all the acclaim, I am Kalam most importantly is Smile Foundation’s endeavor in championing the cause of empowering children through education. Given the enormous size of the problem, this is a humble step ahead, but nonetheless IT IS A STEP AHEAD!
