The government has announced changes in the issuance of disability certificates. An official release said for hearing and visually impaired persons it would be issued on Mondays; for those Locomotor handicapped/cerebral palsy/leprosy cured it would be on Tuesdays and for mental retardation, multiple disability, autism and mentally ill persons it would be on Friday.
Hitherto the certificates were issued to all persons on Tuesdays at the State Resource cum Training Centre, K. K. Nagar. The new system would come into effect from August 2.
