Vidya Sagar’s Production and Vocational Training programme began in 1995 and has trained more than 120 adults over the years. Today, 45 active trainees are developing skills in areas including:

Block printing

Tie-dye

Arts and crafts

Weaving

Green skilling

Appropriate paper technology

Sublimation

The organisation’s weaving unit also holds the prestigious HANDLOOM MARK from the Ministry of Textiles.

Through these programmes, trainees create market-ready products designed with quality, durability, and everyday use in mind. Kalakkal Kadai, Vidya Sagar’s marketing hub, supports these emerging entrepreneurs with design inputs, quality checks, and retail opportunities.
